A Chase by: Annie Dillard.
In the story "A Chase", the author began the essay telling us how she learned to play football. She believed it was a fine sport. She also described the game as a mental strategy, if you put all of yourself you wouldn't get hurt and there is a big posibility of winning the game. Like all children she used to play with others kids older than her. One day, they were waiting for cars to through them snowballs. Suddenly, a black buick passed through the corner and they hit the car with the snowball. To their surprise, the driver stopped the car while they ran out. The driver ran after them, and trapped two of them. The kids were so lucky the man didn't hurt them. In my opinion, children are not supposed to be playing alone outside of their houses because they could be in danger. I don't think is a good idea to let children alone. I think the message the author is giving us is to watched over our children at any moment to prevent a tragedy.
