Shouting Fire by: Alan M. Dershowitz

I have always believe that we should have 100% of freedom, but I also always keep in mind that my freedom ends where your freedom starts. It is very unpleasant that someone taking advantage of his or her freedom shout aloud a lying in a public place. For example, if we are in a close place like a store, and someone shout a lying that he is going to kill everybody all the people in the restaurant will go crazy ,start crying, and many other things could happen. It is not funny to do things that could affect others. People who do these things, should be punished.

Cultural Baggage by: Barbara Ehrenreich

In this essay the author talks about the ethnic and religious heritage we all have. In my opinion, is absurd that we try to hide that part that we all have inside, our "cultural heritage". I'm very proud of the country I was born in, the food I eat, the music I listen to, and my native language. I think all cultures are great and we all have something special to share. We should never be ashamed of what cultural heritage we all have inside. We all shoul be proud and pass aor tardition to our sons and grandsons.

The Death of the Moth by: Virginia Woolf

The Death of the Moth helped to act with determination everything I propose to do in life. In the story the author describes how a little creature fights against the obstacles to live. Even though it couldn't survive it acts with determination and fights to reach its objective. Sometimes we don't fight for what we love the most, and many good things in our lives goes away because we didn't do anything to keep it. My advise is that we can't give up in hard moments we must fight against everything to obtain what we want.

I Have a Dream by: Martin Luther King, Jr.

I Have a Dream was the most incredible and unforgettable speech ever heard in the American society. Dr. Martin Luther King was a very courageous, brave, and a leader man to follow. He spoke out freely about what we all know, but some ignores the "civil rights". I feel very sad when I think about all the discrimination, suffering, and the lack of consideration to the African American people. In my opinion, people who believ in racism, and consider themselves to be superior are the most insignificant creatures of this world. Unfortunately, Dr. King was killed before he could experience the senasation of being free, but I'm pretty sure he and every black american of those time were always free in their souls.

Why We Crave Horror Movies by: Stephen King

I agree with the author when he said that we are all mentally ill. I think , every person has something inside that gives us sometimes the necessity to feel scared at some point. I like to watch horror movies. I'm not a serial killer nor I enjoy to see people suffering, but there is something special in horror movies that I can't stop seeing. I believe they create some kind of addiction that even though we feel super scared or we might have nightmares we like to see this kind of movies. I know there are some people who doesn't like to watch this kind of movies, but is the minority of the society. I, personally everytime I watch a horror movie, I feel bad, scared, nervous, and I also get afraid of darkness, but I would rather watch a horror movie than a science fiction one.

A Chase by: Annie Dillard.

In the story "A Chase", the author began the essay telling us how she learned to play football. She believed it was a fine sport. She also described the game as a mental strategy, if you put all of yourself you wouldn't get hurt and there is a big posibility of winning the game. Like all children she used to play with others kids older than her. One day, they were waiting for cars to through them snowballs. Suddenly, a black buick passed through the corner and they hit the car with the snowball. To their surprise, the driver stopped the car while they ran out. The driver ran after them, and trapped two of them. The kids were so lucky the man didn't hurt them. In my opinion, children are not supposed to be playing alone outside of their houses because they could be in danger. I don't think is a good idea to let children alone. I think the message the author is giving us is to watched over our children at any moment to prevent a tragedy.

Salvation

When talking about God, many religions comes up. There are thoudsands of religions worldwide. In almost every family there is a religious believe. In the story Salvation, a young boy named Langston Hughes lives with his auntie. His aunt is a very religious person, she goes to church every day. She wants Langston to accept Jesus in his life like she did. One day, Langston went to church with his aunt to become part of a big revival at his aint's church. They sang different songs, prayed, and some people felt or acted as they have seen Jesus. Langston was seated waiting to feel the spirit of Jesus, but it never happened. He was the only one left to stand up as a signal of that he saw Jesus. Suddenly, he felt ashamed got up and pretended to have seen Jesus. Every body in the church were very excited, especially his aunt who felt ver happy. That night, Langston cried in his bed because he laid to every body in the church. I think no body needs to go to church to believe in God. If we do good in life we are all considered good cristians who deserve to have God by our side. If you any time has experienced the sensation that you don't have Jesus with you, you are so wrong Jesus is inside every person of this world. Don't be afarid we are all God's sons.
